Our Story
Utthan Home Goods Textiles Private Limited is a start-up manufacturing home goods and products in Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh. These products are excellent for Indian home furnishing and modern textile creations. It has been initiated with a purpose to give a platform to the poor women living in slums to uplift their skills and empower them.
Main Objectives
1. Encourage and help underprivileged women to see their own worth and potential
2. Enhance their financial independence through sewing.
3. Provide fair wages and safe spaces for them to work.
Empowerment through

Women empowerment is possible only through self-employment.
Utthan has been assisting poor women by generating a livelihood for them.
This has made a significant contribution to them by improving their economic as well as social status.

Unleashing Hope
Along with training, efforts were also made to enhance their self-esteem and build confidence.
Over 3500 women have so far benefited from the project. Many of them started their own tailoring shops and started earning and supporting their families. Being able to contribute financially made them realize their self-worth and potential and look forward to life with hope.
It all started When ...
Daisy, an Indian woman passionate about gender equality, saw a need for women empowerment in oppressive communities throughout her home country. A sewing center developed, providing women from these oppressive environments with a safe space and skill set that would otherwise be unfathomable. Fifteen years and over 3,500 trained women later, we're ready for the next step. How can we advance this to an even greater level of community impact?
Utthan. Let's directly employ our top seamstresses and build a social enterprise. One that will pour back into the ministry while elevating sewing skills, literacy, fair wages, as well as creating safe spaces to work and grow together.
